Awesome review man. Haven't heard these guys before but you've really made me wanna check this out.

Couple of things though:

Sentenced to Life makes it nearly impossible to for any living thing within a one hundred meter diameter

Take out "to".

Also

With Sentences to Life, put out by Southern Lord

Great review!Haven't really checked these guys out but I've heard a couple of songs by them and thought they were pretty good.I'll definitely be checking this out in the days to come and if this is as good as it sounds I'll probably look into checking out their previous material too.

I'm still on the fence on this...while it's a solid album, I think Heavy Breathing and Razor to
Oblivion are just so fuckin good, it's tough to top either. I've only listened to this twice now but
there's something missing this time round. There was a certain element of groove on songs like Eat
the Witch and Unholy Virgin that aren't there now. We will see how it fares once 2012 is done, as it
holds promise of just ridiculous amounts of anticipated albums

To the guy who asked if this was hardcore or crust, I'd say it's hardcore/crust-infused grindcore. The grind element seems to be more present than on their 1st album.

Yeah, this is getting way too much hype. And Clandestine is often considered a classic, moron.

A high 3.5 for me. Not as good as Heavy Breathing. The album RIPS until "Doomed" & "The Flame; which

seem considerably weak creatively. Obey fucking ends it with a bang though!

Wish they could have taken a couple extra months to bring the instrumentation up to the level of Heavy

Breathing. I believe the band themselves said the album process came together rather hastily.

@ Doubt

Heavy Breathing brings the riffs constantly throughout. This is basically Heavy Breathing Part 2 with

a tad less memorability. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

jesus i finally got my copy in the mail and it says they recorded this a year ago! they shoulda spiced it up, some of the riffs are just kinda so typical. altho I'm currently watching an entire live set on their facebook page, and this band would still rip my face off live.

"it says they recorded this a year ago!"

Review copies were going around four months before release date, so I guess that makes sense.
