"Lute, who also happens to be influenced by the artist Big KRIT [...]"
I heard Biggie on Letter... though it was Notorious B.I.G., but it's probably KRIT.
“Music is music long as it comes from the heart. No one can tell you that it's not a song if you can paint a picture of your struggle, your happiness, whatever it may be, as long as it's true to you and some one out there can relate, then it's music.”
Nice quote.
"It may seem humble of him to make that point but make no mistake, he has big plans. Lute's presence on ”West1996” demands your attention, as if the throne of hip hop was his for taking. This is an incredibly solid debut for the young Carolinian, and right now it seems as if the sky is the limit. “Praise the RZA” because Lute has risen."
It's 2012, the truth is finally here...

The first couple tracks put me off... very reminscent of Nas' Illmatic, but clearly trying to be better than Illmatic is a mistake... I feel like he settled in towards the end. Some good music here... I hope more people take you up on the

it's kinda hard to see in life when you six feet deep
below the earth, pimp the hearth, bucket seats
dark tint, black paint, let the reaper reap

Letter2 pulls its own weight as a closer...
Letter to what could've been
my lady, my wife, my best friend
if you love it, you let it go in the wind...
And if it comes back, then maybe it was meant to be
I guess I got to wait to see.
I am sincere, so I sing this sincere-ly
PS: don't even write back, cuz I'm sending mine back, so gimme my heart back.
