I have no idea what middle-aged means lmao I’m early twenties. Still relatable for me but I can’t imagine it would be for anyone who isn’t a bit of a rebel.

Okay, we should just replace "midlife crisis" with "life crisis". That should cover everyone, right? Retarded drug addicts, people working shitty jobs, people sad about not having friends, etc.

Okay ur being a bit of a asshole now. It’s negative, sure, but there’s more honor in it than being for “retarded drug addicts”

I know. That's why I listed other groups. Also, I did say it wasn't a good take.

Awesome! I've always wanted to go there! Assuming it's Finland. That's where Santa is from, right? Right? RIGHT?

>Maybe it's not just the middle-aged sacks, but also 25 year olds who are crying over their life failures, drowning themselves in acid every weekend, and feeling depressed about working low-paid jobs?

This is the album I've listened to more than any other this decade and it essentially the soundtrack to the second half of my time in college. I just turned 25 a couple weeks ago, I work a low-paying shitty retail job and yesterday I just got yet another rejection for a job after an interview that seemed to go well.

Idk if that means you're correct but it certainly feels spot on the money. This album speaks to me in so many ways (the rejection of classic American culture, the emotional anxiety surrounding social expectations, the desire to simply escape, the longing and grief for missed opportunities and lost friends and family). I can understand why someone might not identify with it if they're not the demographic. If you don't feel a connection with a line like "I've been having a horrible time putting myself together, I've been closing my eyes to find the old familiar failure," then I'm incredibly envious of you. I wish I didn't feel it so deeply, I really do.
