seriously. everyone bitches and moans about Tool taking their sweet ass time releasing their last album. why bitch and moan even more when a band comes out that actually does their sound justice and who sound like they're actual fans of Tool, not just trying to mimic their style.
people are too hard to please ugh

Deserves a much better rating than 3.3......
This album is a classic. Plus, it has my idol steve on bass

This is probably the best Tool rip-off I've heard... and I've heard many.
They'd actually be pretty damn good if the vocalist didn't suck. He's as monotone and boring as they come.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

I'm fine with jamming this if Tool doesn't want to make anything new.

No idea why it took me this long to check these guys out. Their new stuff is....it's OK. Nothing grabbed my attention except some harmonies on the newest record. Great musicians though. But this (from the cover art onward) reminded me of Lateralus so much that it's hard to dislike. I'd agree that the weakest part is the vocalist, who despite sounding like Maynard every now and then, doesn't have a ton of range. But come on. The tuning of the guiitars, especially the bass, the vocals (to a point), the tribalistic drumming that flares up every now and then...this is one big love letter to Lateralus.
Guess it makes sense that the same man who produced Lateralus produced this.

I seem to remember not even finishing this because it was such an absurd tool ripoff. Is their other stuff worth checking?
