New album better not be a let down, unfortunately it usually is with bands like these. Hopefully they still have potential left.

The demo is soo fucking good...

Dark Descent > Profound Lore

Well duh. Profound Lore infrequently have some classics, but they're far too inconsistent with their output. Dark Descent have pretty clear ideals for their releases, which makes it far easier to trust and enjoy consistent output from them.

They are one of the best extreme metal labels along with Iron bonehead, NWN and Invictus.

Use to think profound lore is great but their last failures made me think otherwise.

Yeah Iron Bonehead, Dark Descent, Invictus and NWN are all the best around right now, lots of other underground labels like Headsplit, The Crypt, Memento Mori, The Ajna Offensive and others are also releasing a lot of my favourite stuff as well as underground reissues

I'm personally most fond of Dark Descent and Invictus because Darragh and Matt are just really great guys who are completely dedicated to what they do, both have been very helpful for me and provide the best customer service I've experienced. Even when I make fun of Darragh's beard on Facebook.

Never met Matt but I remember he's running Dark Descent. Love the effort and attention he puts on the re-releases of forgotten death metal bands like Toxaemia and Sarcasm.
