I just listened to Step Back In Line and I thought it was pretty awesome. Definitely gonna give the whole album a listen tomorrow probably.

Thanks Spec!
And I agree with you, if Townsend produced the album it would probably be a 3.5-4...the production when he isn't at the helm is shit

Every album I hope they let Marta sing for once, just out of curiosity. The Devil And The Self Doubt is phenomenal.

This is pretty fucking sick. Easily the best song they have ever done.

"Have this downloaded, will check it in a bit though I'm not really expecting much. These guys have always skirted the line between good and bad"
You could almost say... a line in the sand.

Yeah Sister Charlatan is pretty damn solid. Agree with best song.

That song in a live setting Apollo was incredible. Hoping to see them again, they had a great setlist last time and I don't ever recall moshing as hard for any other show I went to.

No doubt Balls...they killed it in that video. I would love to see that song performed live.

Never knew it was the bass player who sang until now. He should do it more often.

Slow claps all round!

I swear on 'The Truth' they did one take of all the singing parts. "Oh that was really flat, oh well, throw it in there.

All of the Truth songs I heard live were pretty strong.

Gotta lover sing-a-long choruses.

Some parts were pretty cringe worthy. Kill To Believe is definitely the best song off of the album.

One of them. Tragedy Of Empty Streets is pretty ace. THIS TRAGEDY BEGAN WITH ME LET IT END WITH ME and the breakdown following that was pretty sick. On the Line In The Sand video his singing sounds like shit .
|

Yeah it was a nice attempt though.

Seems like the second half of the album is far superior than the first.

yeah the keyboards are way up in this, but its not unbearable.
i think the keyboards were pretty much non-existent in their earlier releases, and made it seem weird
that they even had keyboards to begin with. this might make it appear that they are more prevalent to
the music now than they used to be.

some of the keyboard sections are just way too loud...but some of it really compliments. I actually really like the sections where the keys seem to shift pitch.
