'"Dismemberment of dream pop" is a great description but I see that as a positive.'
I meant that in a negative way though, i.e. they/she have taken the typical tenets of the genre, tried to deconstruct it in order to be innovative but failed. I just found large portions of the album to be completely uninteresting and not very inviting.

That's an understandable reaction. I think you either find her loose approach to songwriting way too slight and unfocused or appealingly unusual.. I obviously fall into the latter pack.
