Because it uses breakdowns as a crutch which is exactly what everyone who didn't like discoveries wanted them to avoid with their next release. I personally don't mind it because it's not done in a gay cheesy way but I get what they're saying.

Northlane is awesome but they do put in breakdowns that kinda fuck up the flow of their songs. That breakdown in the middle of Quantum Flux was so unnecessary and shitty.
