its just a bit awkward, i never listen to it ever and I feel like it doesn't end the album well

for now id skip long division. its a widely hit and miss album (some stuff is really, really boring on it while some of it is fucking ace) go right to a curtain hits the cast

covering such an impossibly sappy song seems like appropriately tongue in cheek acknowledgement that they are an impossibly sappy band. not to mention their style puts a more hollow, almost bitter spin on it. works perfectly i.m.o.

i understand your point ffs, they are infinitely talented songwriters and have done GREAT covers in the past but it just doesn't sit right with me. I just don't like it. I love what you're saying about hollow and bitter in accordance with their sound. Songs like Kind of Girl on TWLITF exemplify that description perfectly
