I keep talking about how good Lay Down is, especially the last minute. Like holy fuck. Easily one of my all time favorite songs.

@Mongi Most definetly check the Death of Day EP after this. It's their most beautiful and poignant project .

I'd say Death of Day is probably the best thing they've done, and yet their other stuff is just as awesome.

So this is supposed to be similar to Oceansize. Can anybody rec me a good entry point / song for a hardcore Oceansize fan?

I actually don't know Oceansize, tbh. But, this album is the best intro to the band in my opinion, just not sure how relevant it is to their Oceansize comparison. This album leans a bit more toward phxc/post rock I guess, while their next two are a bit more straight forward alt rock/indie with the same heavier edge.

Maybe check the following tracks from their release and decide which album to move into?

The Death of Day - Acsension

Garden Window - Lay Down

Disillusion - Path of Folly

Endless Light - Complicated End Times

Alright, thanks for the suggestions man!
Also, do yourself a favour and give a listen to Oceansize's debut "Effloresce".
I promise you will not regret it ;)!

Well ... what can i say other than try it out?
IMO it is a bit more diverse and it has a "structure" (Instrumental, then three songs; then repeated 3 times). The first part is kinda progressive metal/ progressive rock, then there is a post hardcore / alternative rock part, which then is closed by a post rock / psychedelic section. Also, the album can be looped infinitely because the last song ties into the opener. (like TDSOTM)
It has been my favorite album for over 2 years and i feel it will be that for quite some time

I've been listening to this so much for years, finally rating this beast. It's amazing and super close to 5-tier. Cleanse Me is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard honestly
