Yes, I completely get that and I absolutely agree with you that writing a standard review describing how awful this is would be redundant in light of past reviews and the inevitable reviews to come. I guess I just feel that if you're gonna submit a review on a site like this you should at least talk about the music a bit. Like you could write a review that is geared mostly towards laughs and entertainment value while still saying the necessary things you would need to say to justify those comments.
The best advice I can give you is next time just try to strike a balance so that someone who actually wants a review can read it and be satisfied while the people familiar with the album can be entertained. It doesn't have to be one or the other and I think it is an absolute necessity that at least somewhere you talk about the music on the album you are reviewing.

Is it just me Hans, or is this not a review of Lulu and more of a diatribe against Metallica and Reed in general?

"The LP, which has seen its cover art banned by Transport For London for looking "too much like graffiti", was recently described by Metallica's guitarist Kirk Hammett as "one of the best things we've ever done" and Reed himself has been equally confident, calling 'Lulu': "One of the best things done by anyone, ever."

I didn't like the song I've heard yet. But judging by this and others reviews Lulu's probably a huge flop (as expected).
Not in my dig list.
Cool review Hans

"It's 100% serious. They actually see it as one of their greatest achievements...shows where their heads are at."
I dont think metallica is going to say "it sucks" , they prolly don't wanna hurt lou's feelings, best case scenario.

I don't think they would be THAT stupid to release something they think sucks ass. It's not like they need the money so bad or anything...
