I actually think "The Emptiness" is better than this.
Like you said the album is dragged out for too long, "Circle VII", though is awesome.

More matured, but on this album Melissa gets more singing than the screamer, I guess all he does when playing this songs live is jump around stage

Following the relative success of 'The Emptiness', post-hardcore sextet Alesana go back to the well with another concept album on 4th LP 'A Place Where the Sun Is Silent'. This time around though, they have bitten off more than they can chew, with this 16 track, 62 minute behemoth split into 2 separate acts. Furthermore, Alesana experiment more with their sound here, employing strings, piano, horns & even a choir! It's undoubtedly a creative venture which also has its share of peaks, but there's ultimately too much filler which doesn't contribute to the mostly uninvolving narrative. Recommended Tracks: A Gilded Masquerade, Hand in Hand With the Damned & The Temptress.

I've always been able to enjoy Alesana albums to a certain degree. And I was very let down by this. I always enjoyed their screamer, and they just utilize him less and less and less every time they go into the studio, when it's the guitarist/singer they should be giving less microphone time.

I can't stop listening to this ,however, if I'm realistic it's not that good , I mean I really like it but I'm not gonna lie to myself and say that it was all that good.

Worst out of the triology but still okay. Too many filler. Emptiness is great and Confessions is absolutely superb. Latter should have a review but I'm too lazy.
