Virus is my favorite on here, I love that song. It's kinda like Aurora, but much darker. Such a great atmosphere. In general, I love the overall feeling of this album, feels like walking through Björk's own little planetarium.

It's just that Black Matter and Hollow kinda fall flat in comparison to the rest. Otherwise, I really like this

There’s some great examples here of how subtle beauty can really work in Bjork’s favour, similar to Vespertine in that sense & completely unlike Utopia. The middle section is particularly well executed.

I love how versatile this album is while at the same time maintaining a constant atmosphere throughout, something that (the also very versatile) Volta didn't manage ... This has stuff as energetic as the most explosive parts of Homogenic, other ones as dreamy as Verspertine and some of them as unsettling as some of the stuff on Medúlla. Really like how she draws on all of the sounds she explored on the six albums prior to this depending on what she wants to depict with the respective track.

The fact that this was her best album since Vespertine is sad considering it's just good

Interesting that the average for this is so much lower than her 90s stuff, I can't really parse why someone who loves those albums wouldn't love this

Am having an ongoing inner battle over whether I still love Bjork or whether Tujiko Noriko has taken her place in my heart, and ngl this opener is chalking up significant tie-break points for Bjork
