"It bugs me that the lead singer puts on a fake English accent."
Lol XD. Can't we say the same for most of the generic American punk rock bands? XD
As for the album, it was surprisingly better than the previous album, but still isn't anything more than a 3. To me, at least.

And many an English (& Aussie) band pretend to be American. What is that they say about the grass being greener on the other side.

It always seems kinda weird to me when self titled albums are somewhere in the middle of the bands catalog. But I don't necessarily think its a bad thing.

I think that if I was in a band, I'd never have a self-titled album. It lacks imagination. This could have easily been called 'Priceless'. 'No Heroes Allowed' or 'You're Dead Wrong'.

Album has grown even more on me over the past few days, really is a fantastic album, it isn't better then 'ALIR' but it is damn close.

Yeah, i think the lasting/replay value of this will be just fine. On the first few listens, the apparent lack of variety is an issue... That tends to work itself out over repeated listening though.

If it has the lasting value of ALIR it will be on my playlists for years to come, lack of variety is nothing major though in my opinion.

That's being just a tad too optimistic me thinks.

I am a very optimistic person Davey.

If you rearrange the letters in "optimistic" in a really careful way, it spells "disappointment".

See that "p" in optimistic... Turn it upside down... it should be easy from there.

Changing subject a little bit, where is this Tonight Alive review Davey?

Been on vacation & am now trying to catch up on 2011 stuff before our year-end lists are due, so I'm not gonna review anything over the next 4 weeks or so.
I've given the TA album a good listen though. It's a 3.5 for me. Really good for the most part, but there is filler there. I've taken down some notes & may still review it early next year when it gets a U.S release.

Brilliantly written review, could never get into Mayday, so I don't think I'll like this one. Will give it a listen though.
