This album gets too much hate. Yeah it’s not as serious, epic and complex as their other albums, but as they’ve said, they needed a brief respite from that and chose to have a little fun.
It’s certainly their most fun and varied album. Still bottom to mid tier Mastodon but still Mastodon nonetheless (which means it’s still very good of course).
Bedazzled Fingernails is one of their most underrated songs.
