I'll admit, I've had a christian rock resurgence in my life. Positive vibes are good for my mindset. Turns out, I'm still quite fond of musical-emotional manipulation presented as God. Don't mean 10 percent of what it used to, but you know, listen to what makes you whole, whatever it may be.

I really slept on this band for awhile. Probably because they're not my usual genre, but they're definitely quite above average for CCM. Kinda have to be in the right mood for this kind of stuff though, even though I was also a CCM kid lol

I still am a CCM kid and I'm not ashamed of it. Just did an old school Newsboys binge last night.

Also Worlds Apart is the best Jars of Clay song.

Agreed. Worlds Apart is a truly wonderful song. A very rare example of a worship song that doesn't speak down to its audience.

CCM kid here as well. These guys were my first favorite band back in 2014 and this is their best album.

Newsboys and Jars of Clay, those are indeed blasts from the past. Haven't heard the former in a long time but I imagine I'd still enjoy most of Going Public if I heard it again, that one was a favorite back in the day

Their new stuff is pretty meh, but the old stuff is classic.
