Here comes another tirade about my favorite song, Serenity.
So I was deceived a long time ago by a dumbass, user-submitted lyric website that the first line of the last stanza (only heard on the remastered version without the Letchford solo) was "The waves will rise, where I met you". However, I was listening to the song yesterday on Spotify's new line-by-line lyric feature, and was surprised to see the lyric "Louise, Louise, where I met you". I now know that this is obviously the correct lyric (a few other lyric website I checked around on yesterday also had "Louise, Louise"), and I'm annoyed as hell that I had been singing along incorrectly for years. This brings me to my next point though.
Given the facts that the "Louise, Louise" line is delivered by Michael, they hadn't played the song live since Michael had left the band (as far as I know), and have now started playing it live again on their current tour with Michael, it seems clear to me that this Louise in question is someone who was, is, or had been significant to Michael in some capacity. It's not that common for vocalists to straight up use another person's name in their lyrics, and I feel like this revelation to me personally has added another dimension to the already cryptic lyrics of the song.

I don't think I've ever looked deep into the lyrics of that particular song but I will say I wish it was easier to listen to the version with the solo at the end.

so i showed my homie volumes for the 1st time after talking him to the wcar/tdwp show
i showed him:
FBX
Happier?
Via (t/t) he said "wow this poetry is so gentle" (compared to the sound)
& Bend (could tell he definitely liked how accessible that one is)
and he now likes volumes lol
