Elitists new album slays this

Based off their new song, I lost a little bit of faith in that band

The Columbian Faction and Intake still hold their places at the top for me.

That being said, most of this album is relatively forgettable. Solid, but Edge of the Earth really is the only new song worth mentioning. Affirmation of Ascension was cute, but doesn't have replay value even close to that of Intake and The Columbian Faction for me.

I'm glad everyone agrees with me on Edge of the Earth - it definitely is the highlight of the album.

Like I said, I really think they have the talent to make another Concept, but I think they're lacking in the creativity department at the moment.

been diggin this alot.

kinda dont see the point of wormholes and intake on here again. recovery and reversion aren't songs. seems like they were kinda rushed into making an album.

nonetheless, i like alot of the new songs- paid in full, behind the curtain, edge of the earth

Boring album, was seriously hoping for more. I hate the term "djent," I think djent is just becoming such a pretentious term for wannabe prog and/or tech metalcore. I mean don't get me wrong I love After the Burial and Animals as Leaders... but this is just atrocious.

Just seems to me like they (or their producer) are a bit shy to break out of the mold too much on a debut album. How does the same band that wrote Intake create such inferior songs to surround it?

Good review. I haven't heard this yet, or anything by them for that matter. Any suggestions where to start?

@Winsomniac

Diego Farias (rhythm guitarist) does the producing for the band. He's also producing Elitist's "Earth" EP right now.
