The music on some of the songs just doesn't jive with the lyrical content imo... like disco style 1984... ugh just doesn't work for me

i dig 1984 but i get why people don't. it rips off the Theme to Shaft pretty blatantly. but I really like Big Brother and the weird ending. -BRUHBRUHBRUH

I just find it to be inconsistant, it has a handfull of good tracks, but not enough.

i agree it's a transition album - there are hints of Young Americans here and there on this one. the way you guys feel about this is how I feel about Young Americans. but then Station To Station is an easy 5 to me.
