Yeah definitely, I do wonder if kode9/hyperdub will make a push for it. I mean besides Double Cup being released on the label, Kode9 has been featuring Rashad and that style of footwork prominently in his mixes lately. It is interesting to follow though, especially with the consideration that the spotlight on Rashad's death might lead to more focus on his sound from fellow producers.

Oh I definitely think it will, especially around Hyperdub. I can't imagine they'd drop footwork off their palette while its still hot (especially considering the circumstances), plus it fits so well alongside their roster. Yeah I think those mixes are a good indication there's more to come ~
Btw have you checked out Mouse on Mars' Spezmodia EP? They're starting to toy with some fascinating contemporary bass sounds, I think that'd be right up your alley ;)

Now i know why i can't really get into this or footwork in general. The beats are great but, i can't help to think that it lacks a strong backbone to sustain all of that. The complete absence of 4/4 kick that is.

I dont know what Deviant wasnt seeing but this sound extremely good to me. Sacred Frequency and GBYE are highlights for sure
Listened to this because RYM recommend thing, recommended this to me. Not dissapointed. Time to go in more footwork stuff it seems
