I'm liking it more and more with each listen, but easily my least favorite SYG album.

Honestly, I didn't think it was going to be possible to make an album I disliked more than This Will Be The Death Of Us....But Burning at both ends makes it happen. Complete disappointment. Granted, their last album did grow on me, and continues to do so more and more. That's probably how this one will be. It'll take a lottttt of listening though.

I mean... Damn. Mutiny was GREAT, This Will Be the Death of us was good, not nearly as good as Mutiny though, but this is just lame :/. Certain is a great song though.

finally kind of gave this a shot, there's some really catchy stuff, but the album can be summed up by the utter cringe worthy-ness of Product of the 80's.

I'd hope not. Honestly, if this was my introduction the band I'd probably give it a 3 but with how great Mutiny! was, this is just... underwhelming and disappointing :/.

"It's not as bad as everyone says" claims the closer of Set Your Goals' 3rd LP 'Burning At Both Ends'. This is an apt description of the album, yet it's still a disappointment following the progress made on its predecessor. Catchy in the moment, but far from memorable, the lack of diversity is more pronounced here. There is some lyrical growth, but the super slick production doesn't help, smoothing over the rough edges to an extent that the dual vocalists often sound similar. In a way it's consistent, but almost too much so, with the latter half especially fading into the background. Recommended Tracks: Start the Reactor, Certain & The Last American Virgin.

I'd probably give this a higher rating if this was my first SYG album.

Samples of new songs. They seem pretty good, better than this.

They both sound alright. It's good to know that SYG are getting back on the ball.

I get the symbolism of it...it's just very generic. It's much like their band name.
