This is a very interesting album. It is a lot better than I expected, and it nails a shoegaze/chill vibe for the most part.
What drags it down is that Wata sings too much. She isn't a bad singer, but occassionally her vocal style doesn't match the song and it sounds off. Often she sounds way too eager on top of relaxed beats.
If this album had 50% less singing it might be up there with other Boris classics.

probably the most mid boris i've heard. the little acoustic song is nice though

Hmmm yeah this is probably bottom 3 Boris (and only really challenged by the weaker 2/3rds of the 2015 trilogy). None of the overlapping songs improve on the New Album/Purple Rox versions and Wata's vocals do not benefit from focal placement (or melodies this listless) mmhm
