No.

Read some of Acre's newest stuff for some underrated user reviewing. A lot of contributors could learn from him.

Ah. Well in other news, I'm going to try to post a new review every day or every other day to the best of my ability. Not making any promises, but I just need to find things to review. I don't really want to review things that 3 or more people have reviewed already.

What I intend to do the most is to improve each time though.

Lastly, I'd like to explain my Kevin Bacon comparison. He was fucking awesome in the 90s. And besides Mystic River in 2002, he hasn't really done shit since. And then he did Elephant White. My god what an abomination. That's where this band is headed.

you didnt mention how painful the mixing on this album is, lacks most of the crunch that messengers had and atleast constellations sounded okay with the mid-boosts

Wait do you mean they didn't have a bass player before? Because it's the same one they have had for the past three albums...

The second paragraph is all over the place, and you don't expand on any of your points. Why is it apparent, in Carpe Diem, "that the song could be much more"? Why don't the songs you mentioned not "manage to raise the album to the accomplished status of their earlier works"?

In the third paragraph you talk about Jake's boringness(again, without expanding a whole lot), and then talk about their new bass player(who isn't new) without any transition. It read kind of abrupt.

I just don't feel like you give enough meat to explain your rating.

i hope you don't breed. You have to be at least half retarded to think that I seriously thought they didn't have a bass player before...

I thought it was a joke at first: that you were implying this was the first album in which the bass player was audible. Apparently this is what you were going for, but then in the next sentence you shot yourself in the foot by saying he is barely heard, so your joke made no sense. It basically read like this: "On this album, you can actually hear their bass player for the first time. You can't hear him though." Also, he was equally audible on Constellations, so I was doubly perplexed.

i hoep u dunt breed eithur

Anyways, the review would be fine if you expanded more. I understand the point you're trying to make, and the other 2.5 review did it very well, but this one felt like you were disappointed with the album, but weren't quite sure why, so all you could make was vague points the entire time.
