oh my fucking god, just experienced ISAM live and it felt like my brain was melting into the floor and my eyes became cosmic keys to my creation and times. Still trying to stuff my jaw back into my skull

Saw him three days ago in London but went on a bender with some friends and didn't get a chance to boast about it on Sputnik till now. Were you in Holland by any chance?

I already saw his liveset, but if it were possible, I wouldn't mind it being my saturday night out from now on to eternity...

oh my days, that strp shit looks like god. Imagine ISAM live, with Richard D James riding Matthew Herbert's One Pig around = paradise.

There was a time in my life before I saw Tobin where I had seen and done a few interesting things, but nothing compared to what I did see that fateful night

@Adash: what did he do? I did not like this new album very much, but translating that sound into a live set must be quite the challenge.

Every single sound was synced with the massive visuals on the cubes, the only thing I can really compare it to is a LSD trip. When, for instance, a beat would drop and the entire structure appeared to collapse in on itself - cracks and smoke and all - seemingly like the end of a microcosmic universe. There was a specific part when a massive live image of Tobin conducting in his box was projected onto the cubes and it seemed like this enormous wizard was conjuring endless mirages.

Measly words don't do it justice, but it's the future of live performance

he's just got an amazing visual setup. the stair-like blank white images are cool in and of themselves but he has some incredibly choreographed images going nuts on screen behind him. also he appears with a beer while smoking a cigarette every now and then. when he wandered into the crowd in brooklyn, i gave him a congratulatory shake

That sounds amazing. Perhaps as a live, visual show, ISAM could make a little more sense. You are so lucky living in England and getting to see all this extraordinary artists whenever you want.

If, as I remember, you are Canadian, I presume you are Quebecois? Montreal, Mutek festival...

But yeah, for music, London is the best city in the world : ]
