This is exactly how I felt when she interrupted her concert in Tampa to talk about being yourself.

loved reading this. I think I come at Lady Gaga the same way. in fact, I resisted becoming a believer until Paparazzi and Bad Romance.
I haven't heard the new album yet but I smelled a rat based on the prerelease singles. I'll still hear it, eventually, but thanks to your review, maybe the empending crash of my fears being realized won't be quite as devastating.

Wow, that's one hell of a review. Personal, insightful, and boldly written. Well done, sir. Well done.

Check out reviews from other websites it's ridiculous how they are just drooling all over her

Fucking awesome review, man. I don't often read full reviews of albums I might get, let alone ones that I know I won't.

I haven't heard a good thing off this album and it doesn't sound like I will sadly. Gotta wonder if Tyler, the Creator will be following a similar path as ms. Gaga.

When someone has seen old videos of Stefani performing, it is impossible to believe any of the Lady Gaga persona isn't total bullshit. She isn't being herself. She's being a character who stands up for the idea of being herself. But she's really not being herself. It's like Inception. Just like it.

Ah I remember the days when no one knew who she was and passed her off as another "pop star" then MTV VMA came around and then everyone went batsh!t insane for her, that's when I knew things were going downhill

this isn't even the right album art

Such a fantastic review Chan. Even threw it up on the FB
Album is a huge disappointment, especially after Fame Monster and the awesome MSG concert that I saw last year with my ex-gf, but you could totally see her going this way with her behavior lately. She's way too into her image as spokesperson of "different" people (which kinda demeans them to begin with) and it's incredibly hypocritical to her legion of crazy fucking fans that eat her whole ethos up, considering she's obviously gotten some work done, which invalidates her whole bullshit "be yourself" message.
The blatant stealing from Madonna is really fucking cringeworthy throughout the record. What happened to all that progression on FM?
Judas is the best song on here and it's an obvious rewrite of Bad Romance, down to the copypasted "whoas" in the chorus. Sad stuff folks

You can look at her and tell she's gotten shit done, that site just had some pics. Doesn't take much to see she looks physically different than she did a few years ago

Wow that's one of the best reviews I've read on this site yet. You described perfectly why this album is a disappointment. I completely agree.
Should be interesting to see how long this album stays in circulation around radio and how die-hard fans respond. I'm predicting it won't be good. I've been watching GaGa fans literally forcefeed themselves the songs until they enjoy it. They're forcing themselves to like this...and that isn't how an album becomes popular.
