As this album ages over the years, I've realized it's not actually a 2.5. And it's not a sputnik 3.4. Everybody was expecting an emo infused post-rock album, and we got a great atmospheric post-hardcore album. Probably a 4 if any band other than Moving Mountains wrote it.

the tempo change in cascade is still so good

Pneuma - Emo perfected
Foreword - Post-rock perfected
Waves - Post-hardcore perfected
S/T - Indie perfected
They have literally never written a song that I didn't think was perfect.

Man, the cascade is the best off this album. Almost sounds like it belongs on Pneuma

this really really holds up well for me. I never got into pneuma so i didnt have that style change anger. Some really, really moving songs here imo and on s/t too

Yeah i just have so many memories attached to this. A lot of the emotions conveyed just resonate so well. Big fan of the vocalist too.

That's fair. I'm revisiting that and forword which many seem to love. They had a split with prawn in 2015 that i wasnt aware of so ill check that too
I want these guys to come back lol
