The Alien is out and gives me a lot of vibes from this album. Someone in the YT comments for it talked to Andy Prince (while on tour with Kevin Devine) and he claimed it'd be a blend of sounds from all albums. The first two singles confirm that imo

A Black Mile to the Surface makes this album make a lot more sense, or at least resonate better. It even makes Cope better, but we could've done with Cope being a six song EP throwaway, so it helps this album the most. Used to disappoint me for some reason, but no longer.
