I can listen to their other albums, though not as often as I used to, but this one really dropped below the already low bar. Nice pic btw, great show!

Not gonna lie, when I was a freshman in high school I loved All Star Diaries by them.

I listened to these guys later in highschool, there are a few soundtrack like memories involved but I just couldn't handle the new direction.

I listened to their EP and was disgusted with them after they took on Jag as their vocalist. Such a fucking mistake.

I think Jag did well, just not now.

I seen them four days ago and they seemed to enjoy playing more then The Devil Wears prada did and the other bands I seen. In fact, they got me moshing. The prada couldnt even do that and that was a big surprise for me.

I liked the album. 500 days of bummer is good as well as a few other songs.

I agree... Prada wasn't very in to it at Warped this year. Lets hope their new album is worthwhile.

I love how the first two albums have a lower average of about 2.5 and yet have reviews that rate them a 3 and this album has an average of 3.3 and it gets a rating of 2 for the review.

Its a terrible album... That doesn't mean people don't like it.

In fact, typically what's popular isn't very good.

I disagree with this. Finding a more controlled, smoother sound isn't always bad in what's called "mainstream". Listen to songs like Ex Marks the Spot and the title track, these guys haven't lost any of their groove with albums. If anything they take more of a step outside the fodder of post-hardcore bands today all struggling to be the best at their heavy drops and poppy choruses. ASD integrates their unique sound in a likeable way to a broader crowd. And btw I saw these guys at the Marquee on Nov 6th and they dominated that show, i've also seen them at Warped Tour in Arizona this last summer and other live shows via internet and definitely not lacking any steam. I feel any band that can ride 2nd spot on tour with the likes of Underoath is a great band to me.

I saw ASD open for Alesana two nights ago. jag couldn't stay on key and you could barely hear him over the overloud guitars and synth. Jag got in to a fight with a fan too. He just stood in the same spot and didn't move. It was their worst show and thats saying something. ASD's show has suffered greatly! Especially since Jag can't hit the notes he once could.

This album it their most deflated effort. It has terrible writing! And some parts sound smoother but the overall effort is lost on dead ideas. They are just doing the same thing over and over and aren't progressing.

Did I mention how terrible the writing is?

the only good part about this band is the screamer's voice. if there was more of him or if jag was completely out of the picture this would be an easy guilty pleasure

It's a shame that people are so ignorant these days to not be able to distinguish a brilliant and talented songwriter/vocalist. A Skylit Drive is one of the few bands with originality left within the post hardcore/metal scene.
