To essentially copy everyone else, yeah, it's like the lovechild of Cynic and BTBAM. Which happens to be a good thing. Lyrics are terrible, though. Just try not to listen/focus on them, and you're good. Programmed for Battle, Upload Complete, and Apotheosis are the best.

lol, why does this have a 4.1 rating? i mean objectively these guys are good musicians, sure. they suffer from some serious BTBAM syndrome and a lot of gratuitous weedling. and the concept part of this album, holy shit lol.

@balcaen: I do. Sorry, not one to pretend I like a band because of political correctness. Taste is
subjective. That said, I still respect everything they've done to the genre (who doesn't?) Just can't
get into their music, ESPECIALLY Traced In Air. Still stand by my low rating of that album and I'll
never change it to live up to some stigma that I should, or to have my opinion "validated" by a bunch
of internet trolls and kvlt/trve dweebs.

As for this album, AOTY no doubt. Nothing amazing has come out other than Paul Wardingham's solo album
and Devin's Deconstruction. Everything else has been pretty lackluster or just pretty good. Shrug.
Still digging this album a month later.

Vocals are perfect, drumming is perfect, you can ear the bass (massive +1)



and the songwritting is top notch, the songs just flow into each other

It's an aight album but after seeing them live with the keyboards less audible and the guitar and bass up higher....they sounded way better then on the album!

Saw these guys play a couple weeks ago. I had never heard of them before that. I was very impressed and bought the cd at the show. It's a great album. They have a lot of different things going on in their music and that really lends to the creativity and uniqueness of the final product. Good band.
