I don't like any of the remixes but the rest is pretty good. I think Frak the gods is a bit bland but the last 2 tracks are nice. Captain On is a great track.

I like the majority of what's on this EP, but I think the remixes were bad editions to it. I feel they were more or less unnecessary.

Obviously you don't understand the concept of an "EP" then.

Well, in all honesty, Misha's got hundreds of song demos going between Bulb and Periphery's stuff, so I'm guessing most of it will be remakes for a while to come.

Last two tracks are meh and I'm not a massive fan of Frak The Gods either. As for Jetpacks Was Yes!, I think that getting rid of the screams has improved that part massively, but I feel that the vocals on the first half of v2 are weaker than the original.
Anyway, this band is a bit hit and miss. Some of their songs are amazing (Jetpacks is quite possibly my favourite song of 2010) but a lot is pretty bland.

Also-
"They have put off any plans on touring to work on their next full-length (currently untitled) release. The band stated via their Facebook page that they would be releasing a double album. The first disc will have a concept behind the new songs and the second disc will stick to a non-conceptual approach. The album will contain a mixture of new songs and reworked versions of Mansoor's demo recordings, like the first album. The new album will also contain more writing contributions from other members of the band (Misha wrote all of the music for their first album, apart from "Racecar", which was written by Misha and Jake)."

Sounds good but I'm a little worried about the last sentence. Racecar was my least favourite song of this album.

I'm hyped for their new release. They have potential, and I want to see them fulfil it. New writing input will be interesting; at least the album will sound more diverse I'm guessing, especially with all of Jake's electronica influences and such.

If they move away from the harsh vocals I think they'll improve massively for sure. Looking forward to this.
