A follow-up to the gloriously brilliant work 'communion' could have gone either way for septicflesh. As it stands, 'the great mass' proves upon deep consideration to be my metal album of the year. It might even get actual album of the year, if it keeps filling me with all this brilliancem/

the symphonies are awesome though. it's not like it's plastic and fake like dimmu borgir or off a computer program, it's actually a real orchestra with real thought put into what they play.
