is bunkka actually oakenfold's best?
|
| |
It's better than the other one (if that counts for anything)
|
| |
oakenfold suuuucks lol but i like that one song that like every car chase since the bourne identity uses
like dun dudududu dun dun, dududu, dun, dududu, dun, dudududuh
i think its called ready go or something

I like the track with Ice Cube, mainly because it samples The Exorcist though
|
| |
for some reason i had him credited with delerium - silence and energy 52 - cafe del mar. i like those tracks but he actually had nothing to do with them apparently
|
| |
When I was tripping at my friend's house he played a bunch of Oakenfold mixes and they were really tight

Anyone else despise the M83 track on this one?

Yes, I was very disappointed having looked forward to hearing it.

sigh... here we go....
1.i hated the M83 track. i found the vocals severly clashed with the song.
2.someone should really explain the meaning of 'adagio' to The Teddybears (hint it's latin). it would be like naming a song Country Blues and singing all about oranges in spanish with only Taiko Drums accompanying it....
3.the Moby track was ok but i expected more from him, he has done other movie track remixes (James Bond, anyone???)
4. as a Daft Punk fan who went in to the film simply expecting to hear a film's score with some fantastical elements i was far from disappointed with the score. it suited it rather well. i have it on my ipod and listen to it at work and i must say that i can recollect the film and the feeling and emotions behind the scene in the music. i found it far from mechanical. but i do feel bad for the people who were not Tron fans and were expecting some club heavy synthpop compilation from the score. its a score not an album to stand on its own ground....
5.The Crystal Method Track was pretty good. harkened back to the old days of the late 90s in some way of TCM.
6. i like the Kitheory Track's use of some 8-bit (i swear some of the sounds were crafted on an old Commodore 64).
all in all it was a decent companion release to the Score and Film, but there were a couple of sticking points (listed above) and a track or two that we could have done without (also listed above).

This rocks. I like it more than the official TRON soundtrack, if I have permission to compare the two.
