DH and AILD are both at least semi-hardcore. I would rather compare DH to All That Remains or Killswitch Engage as they all have great singing/screaming mixes.

Amazing album. nuff said.

I love the 28 second intro into "Not I" and the song itself. "Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck" is good too.

I actually heard the original song Snap Your Fingers Snap Your neck by Prong awhile back and thought that it was rather poor in comparision to Demon Hunter's cover.

This album is extremely good... great taste of heavy vocals, with the nice softer side thrown in too... the lyrics are extremely well written compared to a lot of bands... all in all, i love this band and the album. sweet stuff.

The only song I've heard so far is Science of Lies, and I thought it was really good. Plus my friend speaks of them as if they were Gods. I'll be checking this out soon.

This band definitely has a ton of skill. When I listen to a couple songs, such as "one thousand apologies," i kinda feel like in listening to a song by HIM. To me, thats a con to the album, but thats just my opinion. Overall though, this band is amazing and delivers extremely well on this album.

Wow, haven't listened to these guys in awhile. I just started listening to this album again, and it is still as good as I remember. I forgot how good a song, "One Thousand Apologies" is. Lots of quality songs on here.

Ryan's cleans are amazing.. really catchy choruses too. I dont like his "growls" that much but its listenable. I like to listen to this band when i want to hear something softer.

This and Summer Of Darkness are still awesome. :thumb:

And their 4th album is going to be called 'Hell Hath No Fury At All'.

Same here, especially after reading this:
Let me just say that, although EVERY band ALWAYS says their most recent record is their best, this new record is without a doubt Demon Hunter at our very finest and most creative.
You should listen to their 2nd album Summer Of Darkness. I have a feeling you'd like it. If you're on the R&M Daily Upload list, it was in the issue today. If not, I can e-mail you the link.

I really like Undying, The Soldier's Song, Fire to My Soul and Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck. DH is one of the best nu metal (ish) bands out there, and by far the best Christian nu metal (once again, nu metalISH) band.

Edit: Yeah, not really nu metal but kind of. i just want to say nu metal, especially since DH can compare to slipknot.

o and i give this a 3.5/5.This Message Edited On 08.16.07
