The really crazy thing about this album to me is the bonus songs. I urge anyone and everyone to check them out, because in my opinion, they blow every song in an already fantastic album out of the water.
At the very least, Kaleidoscope Eyes and Bittersweet are necessary listens.
I'm assuming Panic just didn't have a suitable spot for these songs on the album in terms of flow and conception, because I've chalked up a higher count there than on the actual record.

I'm actually not a huge fan of the bonus tracks.

yes, yes you would. except that there's some filler in the middle to the near end, but it's saved because the last track is like the best one.

I absolutely loved A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, and full on hated Pretty. Odd. but Vices & Virtues, though somewhat not as catchy as AFYCSO, came back better and bolder than ever. With a more mature and concentrated over all look, Panic! reclaimed their place after Pretty. Odd.

I really liked Hurricane... I only hated Ready to Go and Nearly Witches... There were a plethora of songs I just found as mediocre. I mean it was the worst at the time until they released "Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die". I know a lot of people didn't like Pretty Odd, but to me it just felt like "Fever but less". All in all this album wasn't the set of shitty dance track 'Too Weird Was". but it didn't quite match up to "Pretty. Odd." and it wasn't nearly the quality of "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out", and "Death of A Bachelor". At this point it feels like a prequel to "Death of A Bachelor", at least in style. The difference is it sounded like 75% pop as Death of A Bachelor has more variety. I guess that's just me though, this album is Panic!'s highest rated on here...

Why is this their highest rated, it's definitely their least interesting and most uninspired sounding imo, still pretty good though

it maybe their most generic and least inspired album, but it's their best written and least annoying one as well. to me this album is them finally being comfortable at what they're doing. both albums before this and their last one seem to try way too hard with strictly hit or miss results. this one may seem underwhelming but it's easily their most consistent work.

I didn't find this to be too generic, I mean "Trade Mistakes" and "Memories" were highly forgettable. Plus I downright hated "Ready To Go" and "Nearly Witches". I thought every other track on the album was at least pretty good. Standouts being Always, The Calendar, and Hurricane.

Personally, I really enjoyed this album. A friend of mine and I were talking about this album, and we both think that it was a way of returning to their original sounds from a fever you can't sweat out. After pretty.odd, that might have been for the best.
