Surprised that "Casually Dressed" has a higher rating than this

I don't understand how they can just break up and leave me like this. They were, like, the last post-hardcore band standing! It's just not right :'(

they are definitely a band that still feels fresh to me. I have a feeling like I'm about to rip through their whole discography.

We still have Silverstein fortunately. But I feel like they're gonna call it quits too after the next album.

had to sit through their set at warped (circa 06) in ball-melting 100 degree heat because i was waiting for against me! to play and they sucked harder than nearly any non-local opening act i've ever seen.

Haven't seen them live so far but I'd say they are as important as FFAF for the scene, maybe even more.

This and their first two is arguably their best. Glad I caught them on their farewell tour.

"funeral for a friend had mainstream success"

Since when is this the sole indicator of importance for a music scene? Also, at least in terms of facebook range, I always felt Silverstein is way more famous. And don't get me wrong I like FFAF's first two more than any Silverstein record.

Silverstein are a US band and have a huge audience from the US, but in regards to FFAF, they did quite well in the UK commercially in regards to their earlier output, mind you this was before social media existed.

Silverstein also play a style that may appeal to a younger fan base. The 3 shows I saw Funeral for a Friend play in Melbourne, my best guess is the average age would have been 25-30, which could also have an influence on social media numbers.

and they were a non-US band who got features on mainstream products before social media. Like when Xbox 360 came out it came with a Funeral For A Friend song on the hard drive. Funeral For A Friend was featured heavily in other mainstream US products like the Burnout Racing series etc.

Funeral for a Friend? More like Funeral for a Listener. These guys are so boring and bland they may as well be called Hopesfall.
