I forgot how much fun 'The World Is Filled' is.

Mack daddy anthem right there.

Both are far from being his best tracks, but Mo Money Mo Problems and Juicy are probably my favorite BIG songs. I remember hearing both on the radio quite often when I was a kid, and they bring back all sorts of cool memories.

Can someone explain to me why this album is considered a classic? No offense, but

a) Generic beats (if I want mainstream biggie, I have Big Poppa and Juicy thank you).

b) Too soaked in the superficial side of mafioso rap.

c) too long

Yeah, biggie has a killer flow and rhyme schemes, but what about the actual instrumentals behind him?

I don't know why you consider the beats to be generic? i mean, it is an old album so it's not going to sound like it's particularly original

I find the samples to be generic R&B choices, really. The professionalism of the production is of course there, but the beats feel too watered down. Only Hypnotize, Kick In The Door, 10 Crack Commandments and Sky's The Limit are great beats, imho

Watch the flick The King of New York.. Then come back to this joint.. The beats sound more polished and luxurious because it was fitting his Frank White persona, he was the boss.. Instead of standing on the corner, he's riding in the back of a Bentley.

Lyric and flow wise he's still as vicious as Ready To Die.. Some of his best storytelling with plenty of classic songs.

Best biggie agreed. Wish I still had this 5d but I just can't anymore. Used to be my fav album for months after first hearing it
