Oh yeah, forgot about that one. And I actually like Lotus Flower as well.

The middle section inc. Lotus Flower & Codex is definitely my favourite part of the album.

It's a great album anyway. Doesn't deserve all the hate. It's a step down from in Rainbows, yeah, but what isn't?

Yeah I’ve been meaning to give this another shot. Never really caught on with me for whatever reason. Same with A Moon Shaped Pool.

Agreed about A Moon Shaped Pool. Some great tracks but it doesn't work for me as a whole. Might be the track order or something.

This > AMSP. I prefer it to many of their albums in fact. 4th after Kid A, OKC & In Rainbows.

Agreed, they don’t come close in any universe. It’s not even a consideration. Not sure why this gets so little love, relatively speaking.

The Bends and Hail demolish this imo. KOL just feels too...slight. I dunno. Just my opinion, not right or wrong. I need to give it (and AMSP) another chance though.

Hell, I like Amnesiac more than this. In fact, this is my second least fav RH album (after Pablo Honey of course).

I think the short-but-sweet thing works really well here. Doesn't overstay its welcome. Some great tracks, wonderfully produced.

Actually think I would like A Moon Shaped Pool better if it was a little shorter. They could've cut one song out and shuffled them around a little and it would be a lot better.

This benefits massively from restraint, it isn't overlong, overblown & doesn't suffer from an identity crisis. Ultimately HTTF does & Amnesiac is just a collection of ok-ish b-sides sans a couple of tracks.

Yes, you are wrong.

Exactly.

Although I enjoy HTTT for those exact same reasons, being full of ideas and very long for RH standards, like The White Album.

I guess a band can choose either road, as long as they follow it with conviction

Nice to see HTTT so high up BBoy. Love it a lot too. Seriously good band anyway.
