This seems way more like a Kim Gordon record than anything I've ever listened to by them. Its certainly not my favorite, but its damn good.
The last song is obviously the one that I find myself coming back to over and over again.

This is slowly becoming my favorite Sonic Youth album. Every song has something good to offer and The Diamond Sea is such a wicked closing track.

i think you just start to get a feeling of the youths maturity to follow in later albums in this one. its not quite as punky as goo or dirty and we just won't speak of e.js.t.ns. you just start to feel the calmer songs more i find.
