Not a bad CD; it's worth picking up. The departure from alexisonfire was refreshing, but the lyrics could use some polishing. Some seemed a tad too cliche.
Great review man, but the Dashboard reference almost turned me off instantly.

"I have Dallas Green on msn but I don't like anything he's ever done."
What's his msn?

This is actually really repetetive and unoriginal, but it makes a decent soothing listen. This Message Edited On 07.18.06

i get amused at the thought that almost every song on the album is in a different guitar tuning i give this album 5/5, same with the review

Good review!
Dallas simply took some material he wrote and put an album together on some down-time from Alexisonfire. It's 95% old material. Personally I thought Sometimes was superb, and I still listen to it regularly.
The album went Gold, so I'm hoping to see more material from him in the future, but he's made it clear that Alexisonfire is his priority. That's not such a terrible though, since Alexis is great, but I love the pretty sound of Dallas' music.
Also, Dallas didn't realize "City and Colour" drawed any parallel to his name when he chose it. It wasn't until afterwards that he realized "City=Dallas", "Colour: Green").

I only like Coming home on this. The rest is surrisingly bad, imo.

A lot of filler but the good songs just about make up for it.
