huge fan of their old stuff but this is just well.... average

So The Blues was alright at first but now it sucks.

Some parts of this are just too mellow for me, but a lot of this sounds exactly like Alexisonfire/Comeback Kid. It's not quite Hollow Crown for me, but this is still very good.

Very good review. I feel exactly the same way about this album. I very much appreciate when bands progress but this is just not... really good yet. Just a bit too shallow all over to last. But i like these guys very much so i positively anticipate what they come up with next.

Hollow Crown > any angry music.

But i can't really get into noisecore or senseless guitar wankery with bad production, so Hollow Crown is my Popmath catharsis.
