This is where they started getting lost and it only got worse on Untitled. Self-titled Korn is always going to be the best, but I like the new album just because it is similar to the earlier stuff they did, which was by far their best.

I thoroughly disagree with you, but I can understand that you dislike this (and untitled) because they
don't sound like their earlier stuff at all.

I think after Head left they didn't know what direction to go in and experimented too much and came up with this. There are some songs on here I like but overall its not that great. Untitled was just horrid, a huge mess of songs. I just don't think the whole industrial feel suited them well.

Yeah, Munky is not even half the guitarist Head was, but the records prior to this weren't all that great either.

I really enjoy this album, but I can't stand Untitled. I find it such a chore to get through.

Good review, by the way, I agree with everything you said, except about Untouchables being lacklustre.

Korn haven't been truly good since Issues, but have had a smattering of good songs since and if they collected all of them then they'd have another really good album. The two from this album would definitely have to be Twisted Transistor and Coming Undone.

This album really grew on me. What I noticed is how good the drums sound! Theres some drum interludes in a few of the earlier tracks that have some of the best sounds I've ever heard. To me it's Korn's most consistent album, and has the least amount of bad songs on it, and some really great ones.
