I really should read my reviews a bit more thoroughly before posting them, so any harsh comments were well-deserved. Also like I said before, the criticism will (hopefully) improve my writing in the long-term sense of things so the I guess the more harsh, the better haha.

Just a question - as a noob of this so called 'cascadian' metal - and not meaning to offend anyone either:

"Cascadian black metal is a bunch of bands from the Cascadian Mountain Region in Washington who play atmospheric black metal styled somewhat after Wolves In The Throne Room (though with usually more folk influence) and (usually) have lyrics about nature and folklore."

= hippy, tree-hugging black metal?

Well I don't think it matters where you're from, not anymore. It was originated from the bands in that area, but if you have the sound then you have the sound.

it just sounds like really melodic long winded black metal to me

it's not some new movement

I mean since all these bands of this style are bursting on to the scene it was just dubbed Cascadian black metal. Started with Wolves in the Throne Room if I'm not mistaken.

I think Weakling is more similar to Twilight than they are to WITTR.

Weakling aren't similar to either. i'm saying WITTR didn't originate the "Cascadian" sound. Weakling did. gtfo with the Twilight comparison.

I didn't say they sounded exactly the same I said they sound more similar to Twilight than WITTR. And as for the originators, that's why I said "I could be mistaken."
