Great read. This album was so disappointing. Well, I guess that was my fault for thinking this might actually be good.

I like the review as it was well writen but i have to disagree somewhat. his first THREE albums were classics then he fell off. And i dont think hes trying to go back to his old ways, i think he tried that with relapse and failed pretty bad(although some of it was good ie. beautiful). I think this is meant to be sort of a new start for him cuz he is off of drugs now. The mans like 40 now, he cant keep dissin and pissin everybody off anymore, although i wish he would atleast make fun of some pop stars. Anyways, this review was very well written.

Excellent work. Thank you for pointing out how unnecessary (and to be brutally honest...terrible) all the collaborations and samplings are.
I mean look at the better songs on the album: "So Bad", "Cold Wind Blows", "Almost Famous"...they were all done WITHOUT help. He fucked himself over by conforming to what's 'popular' right now. He only won that Grammy based on record sales and I stood up and clapped when Arcade Fire (deservedly) beat his sorry ass for "Album of The Year"...I used to really respect Eminem
"usual cohort Dr. Dre having been reduced to just one production credit this time around"...and Recovery isn't very good...coincidence?

Great review, this is not my favorite album, but people definently still respect him and I don't think hes in as bad of shape as you say.

Though some good points may have been made, I do not totally agree with the review. I've always felt that this album hasn't gotten it's due justice because Em decided to be more personal with the material. I believe it's great records and showed a deeper side to Em.

This is brilliant.
