This is one of the most monotonous metal albums I've ever heard. At least Immolation had dynamic changes in their songs.

And Lucidity, a lot of death metal(not to say most) have pretty much no dynamics change. Immolation is an exception and they're pretty much amazing too. But metal in general is pretty much riffs(on bass or guitar), drumming fitting the genre, atmosphere, vocals fitting the genre, "technicality", lyrics , etc.



Can I ask you a 2 questions? Do you like ambient thing? I know this have nothing to do with the album. Do you like things like Blut Aus Nord, Wolves In The Throne Room(depends of the album) Portal, Drudkh just to name some artists who play "extreme" metal and trying to bring some "atmosphere"?

really? i loved Black Cascades: it wasn't as good as Two Hunters, but still an easy 4.5.

I'm gonna listen to this again when I'm finished with Diabolis Interium. Definitely got a Portal and Impetuous Ritual vibe from this, which is probably why it's so good.
