Also, like Voivod, I really liked On An Island.

That's fair. On An Island is a special album to me too I guess - I was listening to it when I embarked on the best adventure ever of my life thus far (and it was to an island too LOL).

I have strong doubts about Gilmour's desires to put out another album. He'll prolly stick to guest appearances and the random skidoo on other artists' albums.

On An Island is really fantastic in small doses, but it drags so much. Gets boring after three or four songs.

Indeed. I love Castellorizon, On An Island, and The Blue (the slide solo in this one is PHENOMENAL). Where We Start and Red Sky (For Miles, haha) At Night is also decent I guess. It's just that everything else is - like you say - a bit deflating.

I also cringe each time I hear the line "Here I am in a state of grace" on This Heaven. Couldn't he have thought of something less turgid? LOL.

@ foreverendeared: My Christmas gift to you. 'Twas well deserved haha.

Not bad, not bad, Irving 007 =P. Its beat is very similar to the inimitable Sheep, isn't it.

@ JesusV4: it's just a concept thing I was playing around with. It could have been anything, really - NASCAR racing, tennis; lawn bowls even lol.
