this is really good and easy to listen too. glad there wasn't any rapping in it, don't like his voice when he does that.

Album's a decent listen, came out quick enough to be respected. If they took 3 years after plastic beach to come out with this then yeah, it'd be a 2. But they didn't. If they went into the studio and this is what they came out with, then yeah, that wouldn't cut it either. But due to the timing and the concept, I find it an admirable release.

This album came out exactly as I expected, what can you expect when it was made on an Ipad, I mean really? Not impressed at all, I might listen to this as study music but there's no way I would naturally put this music on first thing coming home each day.

Good review, but I obviously cannot agree.

yeah there seems to be a divide between people who think this is sort of bad but not terrible, and people who think this is pretty good but not amazing. i havent heard anyone say outright that they despise this or love this.

It is Jenna Fischer, the actress who plays Pam from The Office...that particular picture is from the movie Blades of Glory

I don't see how you can love it, but it's quite an enjoyable listen. I've even given it another spin, which I rarely do right after

The Ipad thing is cool and all, but this isn't too bad, but it's still no Demon Days.

Everyone talks about how quick this was put together, how nice it sounds for being done on an iPad, that nobody seems to care that the songwriting is totally boring. Some of the sounds are pretty cool, it has a good atmosphere even, but that doesn't hide the fact that by the time it was over, I at least could not remember a single song that I had just listened to (ok, maybe one or two). I expect more from the band that made Demon Days, and I don't think you can say the music is objectively better just because it was done on an iPad. If you write a lame song it doesn't matter how you record it, it's still lame.

That said, there are still a few tracks that are decent enough that save The Fall from being downright bad (Bobby in Phoenix and Amarillo come to mind). They just aren't enough to make me want to go back to it to relive it. Anywho, that's just my two cents on what some people have been saying.

deviant's is a really good counter review, it really embodies what a lot of people don't like about the album.

with that said though, and judging by the album's average rating, opinions are split just about right down the middle on this one
