Decent soundtrack, fits the movie well. Though the movie has a poorly written plot and dialog, I still had a fun time.

Olivia Wilde needs to win an award based solely on her sexiness and stage presence.

just came back from the movie. the script was so bad nearly every line made me lol, but it was still entertaining as hell. plus olivia wilde. holy shit
soundtrack needed more techno and less hans zimmer rip-off though

while i think you brought up some very good points about the album, it isn't strong enough to stand up upon its own nor should it. I think the problem that most people have with this album is that it isn't the huge, epic event that everyone thought it would be, what we are forgetting is that it's a soundtrack for a movie. If the music is bigger then the movie then the movie is put into the background and they have not done their job, cause what the soundtrack to the movie is suppose to amplify the movie experience.

You bring up some good points but as I said in the review, releasing a score ahead of the film's release just seems like a strange concept to me. And because I was able to listen to it without watching the movie simultaneously i have (had) to judge it on its own. I could've waited, sure, but then someone else would have reviewed it (they did), and if we both waited then another site/magazine would've (they did)

Your right that on its own it isn't very strong on its own, that having been said have you seen the movie yet? Because in that context the album is much stronger.

There's some epic songs like End of Line and Derezzed and End Titles, but a lot of filler.
Tron has some of the worst dialogue scenes i've seen since Transformers 2, which is why I think the actors who spoke the least appeared to have the best acting-> Olivia Wilde. She is hawt 'nuf said.

After seeing the movie I definitely have more respect for the OST, without the film as a backdrop I really wouldn't have ever gotten this.
