Relistening to this first before giving their other albums a spin. The way the vocals first come in at Vert is blissful. Dixie is my least favourite here, I prefer the calmer songs.

Nice move, man! Harmonium rule so hard. 'Vert', 'Depuis L'Automne' and 'Histoire sans Parole' are actually the tits on here. Please let me know what you think about their other works.

Of course I will, I wonder: should I go reverse-chronological from this or just listen to the debut first?

mmmh I'd say this and L'Heptade first, 'cause they fit together well in style. The first one is more folk rock with a tinge of prog. It's a bit different, sometimes more radio friendly but still has a lot in common with the others at the same time.

L'Heptade next it is. I had a quick look and it's pretty huge, almost one and a half hours, so I'll have to find the time somewhere this week to carefully listen to it.
Also, ZAPPA!

Yes it's a full journey, a very pleasant experience, plenty of great arrangements and melodies. Like any rich and ambitious work, It's gonna take a little while to fully absorb it and trust me, it's gonna pay off. Enjoy!
Also, ZAPPA!
Yeah it's me. You recognize me even without my guitar!

Considering that I actually understand half of this review, my knowledge of French must be getting better pretty quickly.

I seriously think I should place an English version both for the sake of completeness, and for my need in practicing my English. Thanks for having read it, man. I'm glad to meet another user who can speak the language of Molière.

First of all, let me tell you it is a true pleasure to be able to read your thoughts without modifications or adjustments, just like you thought and intended them to be, no barriers. It is a shame that you do not feel comfortable writing in your mother tongue around here, but at least --and special thanks to Nagrarok-- we get to read your ProgJect collaborations.
Now, gentleman, if you allow me to do some remarks on your review to help me improve a little more, here are some small doubts of mine about your review:
"Harmonium (l’album) fût dominé par la guitare sèche..."
Is the correct verb time le subjonctif? Or maybe it was a typo and you meant "fut dominé"?
"Leur style s’est encore plus rapproché d’un rock progressif à caractère symphonique.."
"La sonorité pourrait se comparer à 'Trespass’ de Genesis"
"la guitare à douze cordes "
I would have written "au caractère symphonique", "au 'Trespass' de Genesis", "aux douze cordes", but this kind of expressions like "le garcon aux yeux verts" still confuse me.
"En effet, la clarinette, le saxophone, le mellotron et divers synthétiseurs sont ajoutés pour, et Harmonium se renforcit..."
I expected something after "pour", like "les instruments sont ajoutés pour amplifier l'effet". I do not understand the sentence as it is. How should I read it?
"...un majestueux double album concept plein orchestre"
Plein d'orchestre? Or sometimes you can simplify the expression? A nitpick.
"Il est fort à parier que l’avènement du virage punk/new-wave des années 80 à venir, y était pour quelque chose"
I read that " there are reasons to believe that the forthcoming 80's punk/new-wave transition was present (on the album) for a reason". I am reading it correctly? Do you mean that we could already see in the album some signs of the musical changes to occur in the 80's?

Some of those doubts may be very basic, I know. Thanks for your time.
