I remember when this came out I was so enamored with it, fives everywhere, and then, with each consecutive listen, it got progressively more dull. Great album for sure, not their best.

lol i'm assuming you were compelled to do this because of my review last night. I must say I disagree about its simplicity and repetitiveness being a bad thing. Godspeed is different because its not a pop album, it tries to be a complex symphony and yet its music/methods are simplistic. Mpp is a pop album that's supposed to be thrilling and uplifting, so hell why not. I like its repetitive structures, read my soundoff about that. Repetition in pop is different from repetition in post-rock.
