repetitive lyrics, lack of solos, repetitive vocal techiques (& overdone at times), those are all signs that Alter Bridge wasn't so brilliant this time around. This is still probably a 4 to me, but they could have done better. Especcially considering they took 4 years to make it.

I totally agree with this point. That was my first thought when I listened to the song.

being a good song on its own, gets overshadowed by the rest of the album.
